Inn by the Sea, Cape Elizabeth, Maine, June 26, 2010 …. The new treatment menu at SPA at Inn by the Sea is filled with luxurious inspirations from the sea, reflecting the inn’s beautiful coastal setting on Crescent Beach in Maine. Offering a variety of transformative services that both stimulate and relax mind and body, the new SPA menu follows the world’s best ancient and modern practices in an atmosphere of simple elegance and serenity.
“We chose products that are uniquely coastal and help define the seaside experience for our guests when developing our massage therapies and new signature treatments,” said Malina Payne, Manager at SPA at Inn by the Sea. The new SPA menu features products such as active ingredients from rejuvenating seaweed, or marine based peptides for the ultimate coastal experience.”
Marine inspired signature treatments include the Sea Waves Massage, a 90 minute service on an undulating bed that mimics the ebb and flow of the ocean, with long, relaxing synchronized massage strokes. Custom blended aromatic massage oil induces tranquility while the guest relaxes on a special massage table outfitted with surf surround sound for the definitive beach inspired escape.
The Deep Sea Soother, designed for complete relaxation of body and mind, starts with a full body dry brush and massage and is followed by an aromatherapy wrap coupled with a head and foot massage. The Sea Breeze facial nourishes and hydrates the skin with a powerful complex of sea based repairing enzymes and anti- oxidants neutralizing free radicals to reverse the effects of sun exposure.
Other inspirations from the sea include a Mermaid’s Massage designed to release the inner goddess through customized oil blends; and for teens, the High Tide Teen Facial designed with gentle exfoliation and cleansing includes a purifying sea clay mask.
