Inn by the Sea in Cape Elizabeth will feature local artists in quarterly shows in Sea Glass
Works by Paul V. Bonneau now showing
Cape Elizabeth, Maine. December 22, 2011…..Inn by the Sea will feature local artists in shows held throughout the year in Sea Glass restaurant. The first show will highlight new works by landscape artist Paul Bonneau. Bonneau’s work is currently on display at Inn by the Sea, and an artist’s reception will be held on February 2, 2012 from 5 to 7PM. The public is welcome.
Working in a plein air style, Bonneau’s paintings exhibit simplified form and ‘pushed” color, heightening the experience of the subject matter.
In 2011, American Art Award galleries voted Bonneau the first place winner in
IMPRESSIONISM– LANDSCAPE. Bonneau’s work has been included in invitational
shows at the New Bedford Art Museum, Danforth Museum, Barn Gallery,
Irvine Gallery, Judi Rotenberg Gallery and collection of the Maine Turnpike Authority.
He is a member of the American Impressionist Society and represented locally
by the Mast Cove Gallery, in Kennebunkport and the Fore Street Gallery,
in Portland, ME. Paul has completed independent study at the Museum of Fine Arts,
Boston, the Heartwood School of Art and the University of Massachusetts. Paul
participates in a number of benefit auctions, among them: PBS Television,
The Maine College of Art, The Children’s Museum, the Cape Elizabeth and
Kennebunkport Land Trusts and the Animal Welfare Society.
