Crescent Room

The Inn's premier ocean view meeting room provides 1,300 square feet of divisible column-free meeting and event space ideal for your next social occasion. Both sections have access to an outside terrace with views of our beautiful gardens and Crescent Beach and beyond. These flexible spaces have been designed with built-in state-of-the-art presentation technology including LCD projectors, drop down screens, and a fully integrated sound system and high-speed internet access.

Outdoor Events

Outdoor functions are easily accommodated at Inn by the Sea on our large, level lawn overlooking Crescent Beach and the Atlantic beyond. Graceful, beautifully planted gardens surround the lawn with an ever-changing display of indigenous seasonal plantings, nesting birds, and brilliantly colored butterflies. Up to 175 seated guests can be accommodated at 60-inch round tables within a weatherproof Sperry, sailcloth tent.

Your Coastal Maine Wedding: Frequently Asked Questions

To preserve the tranquility of our coastal neighborhood, the Town of Cape Elizabeth requires outdoor music to conclude by 8:00 PM. This allows the natural sounds of the Atlantic to take center stage for the remainder of the evening.

Certainly. For couples wishing to extend their celebration, the Crescent Room is available for intimate after-parties from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Because we value a restful environment for all our guests, a hotel room block is required for these late-evening gatherings.

To ensure we can prepare for your party with the utmost care, we ask for your final guest count and guarantee fourteen (14) days before your wedding date.

While our property offers direct access to the shoreline for beautiful photos, state park restrictions prevent us from hosting formal ceremonies on the sand. We invite you to exchange vows on our lush lawn with the sea as your backdrop, epitomizing the best of coastal living.

Absolutely. Our culinary team prides itself on hosting personal, memorable meals. We are delighted to accommodate special requests, dietary restrictions, and allergies, incorporating local menu items whenever possible to celebrate the flavors of Maine.

We offer a variety of menu options for welcome events, rehearsal dinners, and farewell brunches designed to fit various price points and styles.

Yes, real flames are welcome as they add to the comfortable elegance of our spaces. We require all flames to be fully enclosed in glass (such as votives or lanterns). Taper candles must be used with a wax catcher. Please note the Inn does not provide ceremony or reception décor, including table numbers.

Yes. The 22% service charge added to your final banquet bill is distributed directly to the dedicated banquet staff who worked your event.

Your room is conveniently included within your wedding room block. While you can reserve as many nights as you wish for an unhurried stay, we will cover the cost of one complimentary night on our end.

As your supportive partners in planning, our Group Room Coordinator can provide updates whenever you wish. While we don't automatically monitor blocks, we are always happy to check for you upon request.

We are happy to help you greet your guests. Bags can be distributed at the front desk for $2 per bag, or our team can deliver them directly to guest rooms for $4 per bag.
