Be transported to an era 65 million years ago when dinosaurs walked the earth with state of the art technology and research allows visitors to experience how dinosaurs looked, moved, and sounded when they roamed the earth.
Connect to the Maine experience at the Inn with summer activities designed for the whole family. Daily yoga on the seaside lawn offers a moment of quiet, stretching and reflection before a busy day on the coast. Bug’s Life garden tours for young children is a fun educational activity where children create bug costumes and learn about ecosystems from a bug’s vantage point. Adults enjoy garden tours with Derrick Daly, the Inn’s head gardener, who shares his passion for planting and teaches how to plant ever-blooming gardens that also create habitat and food for wildlife. Or stroll along the beach with a local naturalist and learn about the Inn’s natural environment and beach ecology. Cape Elizabeth offers walking trails on the ocean’s edge, through the woods or around Great Pond. Nearby, Portland offers water activities, ferries to islands in Casco Bay, an interactive children’s museum, a science center, or cruise on an authentic Lobster Boat on Casco Bay and haul traps aboard the Lucky Catch. Just south of the Inn the Audubon Preserve offers guided watchable wildlife tours in canoes or kayaks.
